Interstate 85 is a busy route, so it’s not uncommon to see semi-trucks there. Driver have to get used to that and make accommodations for those large vehicles. What you never want to see is a driver who fails to slow down soon enough to prevent a collision. Unfortunately, those rear-end crashes happen all the time.

Early morning crash leaves one person hurt

That’s what seems to have happened in one recent auto accident. The crash led to one passenger suffering serious injuries and being flown to a hospital in Atlanta after the collision. The interstate was shut down while the crash was investigated by the Georgia State Patrol (GSP).

The news report indicates that the driver of the vehicle with the injured passenger failed to stop before slamming into the rear of a tractor-trailer. At around 7:45 a.m., the driver hit the vehicle before spinning into the left lane. A second commercial vehicle then hit the Chrysler, and it flipped into the median. The incident report states that the vehicle came to an abrupt stop after this.

All three vehicles ended up being disabled as a result of the collision, which resulted in the highway being backed up well into the early afternoon.

Crashes like this can hinder the flow of traffic, which could even lead to more secondary collisions. If you’re involved in a crash because of a dangerous driver, you should not that you may be able to pursue compensation. Even if the driver is in your vehicle, as a passenger, you may be able to seek compensation for the injuries you’ve suffered along with financial and other damages.
